With more than 25 years of experience in the treatment of adult and geriatric psychiatry, Dr. Nunez works to combine the practical aspects of medication and psychiatry with the more intangible aspects of mental health care-self care, boundaries and mindfulness strategies .
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Nunez made her way to North Carolina via Florida and Maryland. Her focus is on family and community, as evidenced by her pride in her children and husband and more than 20 years as an active leader and administrative team member of Girl Scouts-North Carolina Coastal Pines. Her interests include reading, gaming and life-long learning. When not in the clinic, she can either be found either in front of her PS-5 or out and about with friends and family.
