Saliha is dually certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and a family nurse practitioner. She received her undergraduate degree at NC State University in history and philosophy.
She received her bachelor’s of nursing degree in 2009 from UNC-CH and returned there for her Master’s in Nursing, becoming a family nurse practitioner in 2016. After working locally in Raleigh-Durham area for a few years, she decided to go back to school to ECU to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner, graduating in December 2021. As a native Tar Heel, she is excited to start a new career caring for the mental health needs of North Carolinians. She also hopes to bring more awareness to the importance of caring for one's mental health particularly in the communities she comes from, namely Asian Americans and Muslim Americans, as well as her community of nurses, NPs and other healthcare professionals. |
